The main cacti of Canarian cardón persist in the Cofete area and in the Vinamar and Butihondo ravines, on the opposite slope, while those of Jandía cardón are only found in three valleys on the southwestern coast.
These of Vinamar are a last redoubt of what had to be great extensions that centuries ago would cover all these slopes.
